■ About this experience

Shibori dyeing is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique.This technique creates patterns by folding, sewing, and binding fabric, and the gentle strength of handmade craftsmanship is embedded in each stitch and tie. In this experience, you will learn basic shibori techniques, apply patterns with your own hands, and dye the fabric with indigo.The patterns that emerge are a surprise until unfolded.It's a time to create a unique piece of fabric that is one of a kind.

■ Experience Flow (Duration: 4 hours 30 minutes)

1. Explanation of Hon-date Sho-aizome (20 minutes)
We will discuss the history of indigo, the mechanics of dyeing, and the mindset involved.

2. Shibori technique practice and pattern making (90 minutes)
You will choose your favorite pattern from basic shibori techniques and apply it to the fabric.

3. Dyeing instruction and practice (20 minutes)

Before you start dyeing, you will practice handling the fabric according to the item you have chosen.

4. Dyeing experience (approx. 120 minutes)
The entire process of dyeing, washing, and sun-drying will be repeated twice to layer the indigo color.

5. Product handover and care instructions (20 minutes)

■ Important Information

・Capacity: Up to 4 people (Please consult for groups of 5 or more)

・Aprons and rubber gloves are provided, but please come in clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

・The temperature inside the studio is similar to outside. Please pay attention to your clothing, especially in mid-summer and mid-winter.

・Persons under 15 years old are not permitted to participate.

■ About Reservations

Please make your reservation [at least 3 days before your desired date]. If there is availability, we may be able to accommodate last-minute requests, so please feel free to inquire. A confirmation email will be sent within 24 hours of your reservation.

■ Cancellation / Lateness Policy

If your plans change, please contact us as soon as possible (via email/LINE, etc.).
If there are consecutive same-day cancellations or no-shows, we may not be able to accept future reservations.

[Regarding lateness]
The experience starts exactly at the scheduled time. Due to subsequent reservations and workflow, if you are late, the content of the experience will be adjusted.

Less than 15 minutes late: The experience will proceed.
15 minutes to less than 30 minutes late: The experience can proceed, but the content will be shortened or some steps will be changed.
30 minutes or more late: This will be treated as a same-day cancellation.
