■ About this experience

Hon-date Sho-aizome (traditional indigo dyeing) is a traditional Japanese indigo dyeing technique that uses fermentation. You touch the indigo dye liquid, where microorganisms thrive, with your bare hands, then soak and wash the fabric, and expose it to the sun and wind. By doing so, a beautiful blue eventually emerges. This experience is not just about dyeing fabric; it is a special time to confront indigo and surrender to the workings of life.

■ Experience Flow (Duration: 3 hours)

1. Explanation of Hon-date Sho-aizome (20 min)
　We will talk about the history of indigo, the mechanism of dyeing, and the mindset.

2. Dyeing Instruction and Practice (20 min)
　Before starting to dye, we will practice handling the fabric according to the item you have chosen.

3. Dyeing Experience (120 min)
　The process of dyeing, washing, and sun-drying will be repeated twice to layer the indigo color.

4. Handover of the Work and Care Instructions (20 min)

・Aprons and rubber gloves are provided, but please wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

・The studio temperature is similar to outside. Please pay attention to your clothing, especially in mid-summer and mid-winter.

・Children under 15 years old are not permitted to participate.

Pick-up and drop-off service is available at the nearest Mino-Hongo Station or Ogaki Station.

■ About Reservations

Please make reservations at least 3 days before your desired date. Last-minute requests can also be accommodated if there is availability, so please feel free to inquire. A confirmation email will be sent within 24 hours of your reservation.

■ Cancellation / Late Arrival Policy

If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible (via email/LINE, etc.).
Repeated same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in future reservations not being accepted.

【Regarding Late Arrivals】
The experience starts exactly at the scheduled time. Due to subsequent reservations and work schedules, the content of the experience may be altered if you are late.

Lateness of less than 15 minutes: The experience will proceed.
Lateness of 15 minutes or more but less than 30 minutes: The experience can proceed, but the content may be shortened or some steps altered.
Lateness of 30 minutes or more: Considered a same-day cancellation.
